What is this?

If you're talking about the white dots, they look like snail eggs.

Kevin

I have about 10 turbos and 10 + cerith snails
nerite snails I only ever purchased one and I can't see more of them.

Could it be cerith snail eggs? Do I have to try to get rid of them?

Yeah,
you are right. Other pictures of nerite eggs I googeld just look what I have. And I did find a second nerite snail. But from two snails, could I have a few hundred eggs within a month or two? And will I have a serious snail problem soon? The picture only showed one corner.
The whole backside of my 180 gal tank is full of them?

Thanks

I am not certain that those are nerite eggs, usually they are a little flatter and larger in diameter in my tank.

The good news (if you don't want the snails) is that nerites seldom survive much past the hatching. They tend to be eaten. I have had 4 checkerboard nerites survive out of hundreds of eggs.

It looks like calcium deposits. Just spots of salt on the glass. I wouldn't freak out, no matter what they are it is a good sign of a maturing tank. I'm sure there are 1000's of those in my tanks.
