What is this?

I found this on one of my clams shells, Do I need to be worried? It's very small and brown in color.

No, it looks like a miny Welk which are relatively rare to find. Some are pod predators but I have seen a couple of those around my system without noticing anything odd.
 
It's a tiny marginellid, probably a Volvarina species. They may be predators as well as scavengers, but as you might guess, they aren't going to be predating on anything that's very big. Some people add them to their tanks intentionally, and don't seem to have problems with them. If you had a large swarm of them in your tank they might deplete your sandbed fauna.
