What Is Wrong With My Poor GS Maroon Clown?

SkullV

They Got My Number
So I went away last night at 6 and didn't return until today at around 9 (Lights on a timer).

In that time my GSM went from looking normal to looking like this (everything but the white above its eye and the white spot RIGHT behind it's mouth is just dirty glass):

It has always had the little white bump by it's mouth for the 3 months that I have had it, and the bump has never grown, spread, or disappeared and the fish has always eaten and pooped normally so I figured it was a scar from normal Maroon fighting. I don't think the fish is stressed at all being that it is easily the meanest fish in the tank and the water quality is perfect:

0amm, 0nitri, 0nitra
78-80temp

I am hoping it is just Lymphocystis or maybe even an injury from the trigger retaliating since the maroon is constantly attacking it anytime it gets near home base (RBTA). Other things to note are that the clown is still a very aggressive eater ,it still takes care of it's nem by bringing it food, and none of the other fish show any signs of disease. I haven't taken it out for QT because I dont want to stress it anymore if it is just Lymphocystis.

Right when I get done worrying about my nem I get this terrible news!!! Please Help!

Anyone? Fed the fish this morning and he is still eating well. I always soak in Garlic so hopefully that helps

It may just be a scrape, which happens. Clean water and good food, plus a watchful eye, is about all you can really do.

Thanks! I can do that no problem (already do!) Hopefully it heals, I really like this girl!

Anyone else or are we pretty much in consensus that it will go away on its own with good food?

I keep reading it and I wish I could help but all I can think is it is a scrape or a bump and it will heal up on it's own. I would make sure my water was REALLY clean but otherwise just watch it to see if it gets worse. The eye itself isn't sticking out more than the other one is it?

Nope, the eye is fine, no cloudiness either. The fish also has NO other signs of disease. I'm hoping its a scrape!

I've used Dr. G's medicated food before when my coral beauty got a rock scrape or nipped from fish it sometimes harrasses. It works great & doesn't harm corals or inverts, either. Good luck!

I forgot about this! Whatever it was went away and the clown is happy as a clam, just wish she would stop trying to kill her potential mate!
