What Is Your Favorite Carbon...

Just wondering what everyone else uses for carbon filtration. I have been using Seachem Matrix Carbon and have had good results. Tried some of the Seachem Renew this last time and it seems to work pretty good also. Anyone else know a really good brand?

I like Black Diamond for it's performance for the price and have used it for quite some time.

Jon Warner is coming out with a brand new carbon which I'm looking forward to testing. I expect that it will be much more effective than Black Diamond. At the same time, I expect it to be much more expensive than Black Diamond. It's name is going to be Warner Marine Ultra Carbon.

EB's new carbon looks very promising IMO. I haven't purchased nor tested any though.

Seachem Matrix is an awesome carbon yet somewhat more expensive. It is purposely shaped in such a way so that channeling in minimized. (i.e., where some water is able to bypass the carbon entirely). The description for Renew doesn't interest me at all.

A good friend of mine buys this in the large buckets and has had very good results with it...since he uses it in a manifold, the shape prevents channeling period.
