My juvies also love the thermometer. They seem to have a game to see how many can hitch to it at any one time. Counting the ones that hitch to the ones on the thermometer the record is eight.
Mine hitches to anything new. I dropped an airline in the tank ... he found it. I added a leather frag, and he went straight to it. Same with a piece of codium. (all within 15 minutes of putting them in the tank).
He must be looking for the optimal hitch and can't find it.
They don't seem to be to picky. I bet yours just likes diversity. Mine also would exploe anything new to the tank with a keen eye.
When I bought my second reidi she was riding a thermometer that had lost it's suction around the tank in the flow. I bought the horse and the thermometer. My 2 WC's would ride that thing for hours. in the flow of the two powerheads. Very fun to watch.
