Hey man! Howz the tank doing these day after the bad turn you had a while ago? Will be looking for your tank thread to see, still one of my favourite tanks
I run 8x80 retro setup.
I go with the sun rise/set feature on my apex. I have the lights come on in intervals of two bubs at a time every hour until all four sets are running. Then it reverses for sunset. The total photoperiod is roughly 12 hours. Only 6 hours are at full blast.

Have been running 6 bulb Tek Elite over my 90g for 2.5 years now. I run 2 blues for 12hr and all 6 bulbs for 8hr with excellent growth and color. I am actually thinking about decreasing the 8hr to 7hr to slow down growth.

4 bulb T5 with 2 Blues, a 10k and a 420/460 purple.
9 hours of Blue + Purple
8 hours of all 4 bulbs.
I was running 11 hours and 9 hours, but encountered a bleaching so I cut things down. I'm not sure if that was the issue or if it's my Alkalinity. I'm trying to nail that down right now.
The bummer is that my lights are off when I go to work and then go off shortly after I arrive home. I guess I could turn them on later in the day, but they would get some sunlight from the windows before the lights came on. I'm not sure if that would be an issue or not.
