Fishes number one favorite food? The thing that is like candy to little kids, okay even us grown ups have our favorites.

My fish go crazy over PE Mysis soaked in Selcon, and also like New Life Spectrum pellets. They aren't as big of fans of any flakes though.

I wonder why my clowns aren't so interested in mysis shrimp? Hey! Have you seen the new product that has the higher protein then all the other frozen mysis brands? It's like 85% vs the less the 4.0 something? Twice the cost, but I think it's worth it.
My fishes goes crazy over tobiko.

+1 on the PE mysis soaked in selcon.. they also love rods food..

OT: Niners are gna win the west this year hehe

I'm going to have to look up Rods food. I've read excellent reviews from this forum. I just can't seem to find it locally around the Fish store :(

I have Selcon... I've wondered... How does something already wet, absorbs anything more? I rinse my frozen foods, add it sometimes...but how does selcon work???... guess it just floats around in tank water... I can understand how it would absorb with freezed dried food... Please enlighten me. I love learning new things to keep a happy tank :)

I agree that my fish LOVE PE mysis, but my water quality/protein skimmer do not :)

My fish go equally crazy for minced diver scallops and raw shrimp from the grocery store, and no where near the fatty messiness of PE mysis :D

IME, I would never soak PE mysis in Selcon. I see no point. I only ever use selcon on dry food, and even then, not often, since items like NLS pellets smell like selcon when they hit the water anyways, IMO.

Oh, and since I just watched my lyretail anthias, my flame wrasses, AND my blackspot swallowtail angels spawn tonight, I think I'm doing things right :bounce3: (Oh, and my percs sitting on a nest from a few days ago)

I would love to see pics!

As mentioned, it's a brand.... New Life Spectrum. I too use both the regular pellets, and the Thera-A ones.

Yeah, me too!! All I need is a constantly filming video camera than can work in very low blue light :D

Everyone goes crazy for New Life Spectrum pellets over here, too. I still give them other foods, but it's funny how excited they get over pellets.

I feed my "sun coral" when the lights are off -- and I use PE mysis -- the smell of it will wake up my female pink skunk clown, and she will attack my tweezers to get some. It is almost annoying, and I am shocked that she hasn't hurt herself yet.

My fish get a little Cyclop-eeze granules tossed in the tank before work in the morning due to lack of time. The evening feeding after work is rotated between three different frozen carnivore blends and some Nori type dried algae to keep too many snails happy. Everyone eats everything but they seem to like the Rod's Food the best. A little pricey but I won a package at a Frag Swap raffle that was donated and when it is gone I'll buy more because it is worth the price IMO!

Here, I feed PE mysis, NLS (pellets and flakes), AquaThrive pellets(wow!) and Fauna Marin pellets. Even my finicky eaters like my multibarred angelfish go crazy about the Aquathrive pellets.:-)

my fish go CRAZY for finely chopped fresh shrimp, but dont get it very often. they also love NLS pellets and mysis shrimp, which they get daily!
