I have been running no reactor for calcium and alk, i hve been dosing, but now i def need a calc reactor,, I have one now but its too small.. any links and or suggestions? i basically need the entire setup.. I would say I have about 600 gallons of actual water with 300-400 lbs of lr and 200 lbs of live sand as i add more..

Im new to the reactors and need help! thanx guys

I have about the same water volume as you and I run all of my top off (~3-4 gpd), regulated through float switches and a ColeParmer peristaltic pump, through Avast Marine's largest Kalk Stirrer. About every 1.5-2 months I dump 1/2 gallon of BRS Kalk Powder in the reactor, let it settle, and forget about it for 2 months. My alk holds between 9.6-10.2...that's it, that's all I do.

I do also run a GEO 624 Ca Reactor for Ca, but from my experience it adds very little to the Alkalinity equation.

Good luck. Darren
