What Kelvin lighting does your nem prefer? Look best under?

Just curious as to what color bulb you anemone fans are running over your prized nems? What color do you think makes it looks its best? Most natural?
I'm currenty running a 20K 250 watt DE, but am considering a trial under 10K and 14K. My gigantea is a 'multi-color'/tan with a vibrant blue base with purple verrucae.

I run all mine under 18-20k. I just prefer the looks of them under higher k.

Normally I'd say 14-20k bulbs but after seeing Jordan's(Ron Popeil) crispa both in person and in this video I think there is something to be said for 10k bulbs. According to Jordan after firing up the 10k above this anemone it responded very positively. He told me the anemone's tentacles tended to stand more "straight up" under the whiter bulb. Anyway here's the video so you can see it for yourself.

The 10K end of the spectrum is better for the nem, photosynthetically speaking, but I agree that the higher Kelvin looks much better. When possible, I find 14K MH plus a good amount of actinics to be a great balance for both nem and owner. JMO

I like mine under a lower kelvin rated tank. I personally don't think I could ever consider a 20K bulb unless I was making a fowlr and just wanted some shimmer in the display tank. A lot of nems are found in shallow water, so the look is no where near a 20K bulb in the wild, it's probably more like a 6000k, but that would look terrible in a reef tank imo, and most would probably agree.

Right now I have a 12k reeflux that I am going to try out and may even lower it to a 10k reeflux after seeing this video:

Does anyone know how to embed a youtube video?

I think that looks pretty good for a 10k bulb. I don't have my anemone yet, but it's probably going to be a gigantea. My light is a 400 watt SE lumenbright reflector and a lumetec ballast on a 40B. I will let you know how it responds under the light when I get it :)

That's a pretty cool video! I do like the color of it turned down, but I don't have an option like that on any of my ballasts. Also, I can't set my lights that close to the water surface. :(
