Acanthastrea Lordhowensis are graded into the following categories:
B Grade - mostly solid colors... especially reds
A Grade - usually two toned colors...IE red and white
AA Grade - typically would consist of 3+ colors
AAA Grade - typically would consist of 4+ colors
Ultra Grade - typically would consist of 5+ colors
Now I may be a bit off on the color representations of the grades, and I may think that AAA and Ultra can be used interchangeably, but those are general rules for grading.
Most of the acan lords that are seen in LFS are shipped to them as B grade or A grade (at least where I am from). In order to find the Ultra (rainbow) acans you really have to look quite a bit.
Hope this helped and if anyone has any other info on the grading of acans lets hear it! I love these corals and always want to learn more about them!
