what kind of crab is this?

noticed this munching on a sand sifting star. he doesnt bother anyone else but he is very mean looking and has alot of spikes and is very hairy....
tried looking for something online but not that hard,
anyone have any ideas?

If that's what it is, he isn't reef safe. Sounds like he'd be more happy living in a sump

he has to have been in there for a while as I have not bought any nex rock in a while. only thing has been fish. Also nothing has went missing. who knows he is really hairy as well as spiny

Had an emerald once that turned really hairy as time went on.
