What kind of epoxy do you use to attach your frags to rockwork?

I've tried to use gel superglue to attach my frags plugs to my rock work, but invariably, the frag will come loose. I feel that I need to use some type of epoxy. I heard that I should use a reef safe, potable epoxy. What brand are fellow reefers using to attach their SPS frags?

Thanks, Ed

Ive used old super glue gel, the 2 part epoxy for under water curing. But my favorite so far is coral affix, but it requires dipping and then exposure to air to aide in a quick cure. If you're straight glueing/placing under water I dont believe there is anything other than marine epoxy. Personally I dont like it but that's just me.

I use Ecotech Coral glue because it will stick the coral in any position, it is also easy enough to brake off if the coral isn't happy in that placement. Once I know the coral is happy and is going to stay there I use Epo Putty on top of the coral glue to make sure it doesn't go anywhere as I too found using just glue they come loose after 6 to 9 months.

I don't use Epo Putty from day one sticking the frag as it goes so blinking hard you really struggle to remove the frag if it doesn't like where you have placed it.

There are various reef hobbyist epoxies but WaterWeld is what I use as well. Easy to get and cheaper than the reef stuff.
If you need to glue underwater the Ecotech glue seems to work well for that.
Make an ball of epoxy and put a dab of glue on either side. The glue on the bottom will help it stick while the epoxy hardens/cures; same on the top with the frag.

I like the 2 part D&D stuff. As long as you work it dry, hands and all, it seems a bit more pliable than some others I've tried. Regarding frag mounting, I almost always use epoxy in conjunction with a gel; the 'sandwich' method described in this forum several times.

Aquamend, water weld, ace hardware water proof epoxy putty, and a few others that you can do a search for here on reef central. but i like using super glue gel for almost everything. i have never had a problem using it under water. you need to put it on the coral before you place it under water and hold it in place until it sets up. it is best to use it on a surface that is some what dry for the best hold, but does work wet.

I like the Two Little Fishes epoxy. Sets up much faster than the D&D. 5 minutes and you are good to go. I use gel superglue as well. Depends what I'm doing.
