What kind of lighting do chalices like?

I just got a chalice and I am concerned that it might be getting too much light.........

I have 3 400 watt 14 k and they are brand new bulbs......I put it in the middle of the tank........

Do they like less lighting?

put it at the bottom and see how it does. I have chalices in my 30" deep 300, with 400W MH and they are on the bottom.
