What kind of monti

Like the title says, I got this colony the other day for a rrreaaalllyy good price and the supplier said it was encrusting, but I think it looks like Montipora peltiformis

Is it encrusting or plating? I like where it is in the tank so either way is good lol

Looks like Peltiformis, but the plate growth makes me think otherwise. Peltiformis encrust.

yup. thats what threw me off..anywho I made a frag and we'll see if it encrusts the plug or starts to plate
