What kind of substrate?

Hi everyone, what's the best kind of substrate should I go with my current setup? Please state why too,so i can decide whether to return the bag tomorrow or not. I currently have crushed corals.

90 gallon w/ Wet Dry and Protein Skimmer.

90lbs of live rock and only community fish like Clown fish.

definitely not crushed coral. so go ahead and return it. Medium to fine sand is the best choice.

Well, I started my tank with crushed coral. Nice for a little while, until the food and fish poop and everything else starts collecting and breaking down. Up the Nitrates go. Argonite sand is the way to go. A CUC just does not go down through crushed coral. Save yourself money and headaches and return the bag.

yep that's why.

Get dry Argonite sand. then get a locak reefer to give you a few cups of sand from thier tank to seed your sand. Alot cheeper then buying live sand.
