What kind of Zoas are these?

So what kind are these and how fast do zoas generally grow? This is my first colony of zoas so I don't have much experience with them? They are in my 55 gallon long with Tek T5 lighting, 4x54 watts over it. Thanks.

There is no way to tell how a zoa will grow beforehand. I have a type that went from 1 polyp to 25 in 3 months. I had another that went from 1 to 10 in 4 months. They can vary.

What kind of lighting was that one polyp under that went from 1-25 in three months. Thats quite remarkable. Do you have to dose the tank with any special additives?

I'll have to double that comment. My tank has been up two months and has gone from 1 to 12 polyps already. Others seem to be stunted.

What kind of lighting are you running/?

I have the stock Power Compact lighting found in Nano Cubes.
No dosing, just plenty of flow.

It's just one of those random Mother Nature things, some may grow fast, some may grow slow.
I saw a website that was selling polyps of "Orange Envy" zoa's for $600 ea. because they grow so slowly, making them harder to come by.
My slow growers were Eagle Eyes, I've heard other people with the same complaint about Eagle Eyes. I got so mad I got rid of them

Your zoa's should do great under your T5's.

they are really nice ones...no clue on the name. You can name them yourself for simple ID purposes unless they are identical to an existing commonly named zoa...only a small fraction of zoas that are kept are "named." I have approx. 40-50 different zoas....I don't think any more than a few have been loosely "named." Happy reefing.
