I'm confused as to the difference between zoanthids and polythoas, except i think zoanthids share a common mat? if this is true then these are zoanthids...
We ought to make this one a sticky... This article helps explain the difference between the different types of 'zoas'. You don't see too many actual palythoa, as you'll be able to tell from the pics. Saw some huge colonies in Cancun last week, though. The most common types are zoanthus and protopalythoa. HTH
