The two on the right. I apologize for the camera phone quality :) The gentleman said they are commonly called Japanese Acan's but that they were Acan somthing that starts with a B. He was speaking so fast I couldn't understand clearly but they're $500.00. The other ones were 200 and 300 for the back colony. I picked up some blasto's instead but the ones for 500.00 sure are pretty :)

Ya think they're just sweet lords?? They were like twice the size of the other lords...I thought they were sweet blastos at first :) I'm only talking about the two polyps on the right frag. A friend of mine is saying possibly mis labled scoly's but I think they're a bit small for that. They're about the size of a silver dollar and jelly'd up like blasto's. Maybe they're just sweet lord's but the gentleman had a different name for them.

was it bowerbanki or something like that? i've seen those once or twice on reefer madness but they didn't seem to be round in their pics. i've heard some lords can get really large but if the texture of the skin seems different (hard to tell from pic) maby it isn't a lord. hopefully one of the experts can help.

Yeah it was bowerbanki!! The texture is different, it looks more like the smooth jelly texture of a blasto. Lords have that gritty texture on them.

it's kinda hard to tell from pic but i'd have to say based on what burton said their not lords. i'm definately no expert though and i've never seen a bowerbanki in person so i dont know anything about them.

As far as I know, there have only been one or two non Indo shipments with Acan lords in them (from Aussieland in early May)... Most of what people call non Indo is strictly based on color, but think about it. If it is illegal to export lords from Japan and was illegal from Australia, how would as many lords that have come in and have been called non Indo actually have been non Indo. It's like every zoa that is larger than an eraser head is a Paly...

IMO, those are all lords (I too am no expert at anything except wasting time;)). All of the bowerbanki's I've seen have a different skeletal structure from lords (i.e., the polyps aren't the same in structure).

The polyps aren't as uniform in structure (the texture is still pretty 'bumpy' on the bowerbanki, too).

i didn't mean they were definately bowerbanki. they could be lords all i'm sayin is i've never seen a lord with a smooth texture to it like burton described.

Ahhh. I missed the ones in the front he was actually talking about. I guess because it was the blurrier portion, I didn't even focus on it... Those do look large for lords...

The one on the left are lords, the one in the back is a lord. The one in the front right is the bowerbanki. It is definately not a lord.

I google imaged this sucker. See what I mean about the smoother texture. Coincidently looks like the picture was stolen from reefermadness.

The blasto's I picked up on the right. Awesome camera phone macro :)

Aussie shipments have been landing in the USA routinly since Feb. with Acans, Duncans, Elagance, Scolys, Lobo's, etc.

Wow. Since Feb... They took their time getting onto the scene (I'd have figured they would have been selling as soon as they hit the US).
