Hey How are you guys, I used Red Sea Salt the first time I filled my tank and I am about to do my first water change. I was told that red sea salt was garbage and I should look into something else.
What are you guys using and how much is it roughly and where do you get it?

Thank You

I have used a few different types and do not pretend to be an expert. I like Instant Ocean (IO) or IO Reef Crystals. I watch the boards and the net and generally purchase a lot when I find a good sale price. Rarely buy from stores.

reefcrystals on drsfostersmith for like 30 for a 5g bucket, buy 2 or 3 at a time, shipping is only 15. but you have to wait until it is on sale.

if you want better stuff, and dont have a reef tropicmarin, if you have a reef and want better stuff tropic pro is what i started using. but if you are dosing a 2part for coral, you may not need the more expensive salts, or rather, they may not be worth it.

Reef Crystals here. I get mine from Dr. Fosters when it's onsale as well. Other place to get it is Bigalsonline. They have it cheap as well. To expensive at a Petco or local store.
