What lighting for the zoas?!

The more the better, so MH. 1020 watts on a 90 gallon and I'm truly worrying about thinning mine.

I run a 150watt 14k on my 29 gallon. I have been seeing very good growth. Much better than the 130 watts of PC i had before.

Where did u buy the 150 from? I have the 29g bio cube and was thinking about going with a 70w MH and actinics but price is high for such a small bulb. Do you run a chiller?

I use 250w MH 14k supplimented with 220w VHO super actinics....I have had great growth over all but it still comes in spurts at times....

I just recently downgraded my MH bulb/ballast from a 400 to a 250. Since I dont have anything blocking the SE bulb, it sheds a lot of light into the tank, including UV. The Luminarc also adds to the intensity.

I get incredible colors and similary to Azurel, they grow in spurts.
Higher Alk also helps them color up nicely.
