What lights do u run on 12g AP??

I am looking into a 70w Sunpod....any other suggestions?? I want to keep chalice, favia & monti cap.

I have the stock hood and the lighting is "ok". I bought the 16.5" Sunpod 70W, but ended up selling it because I don't have time to tweak and play with the tank, and evaporation and the extra heat.

Now I sort of want that Metal Halide again...

I really like the color of the radium and get decent growth. IMO, if your only going to be keeping montis you should be fine with the 70w. Only issue would be the lack of options on bulbs. If you set up an ATO then the evap isn't an issue. I have a 6gal top off container which last around 2 - 2 1/2 wks. I'm also running an Ice Probe Chiller which keeps the temp in check however there are others on the board that just run a fan across the surface and have no heat issues.

Do you guys think chalice and favia are ok under the pc's for a bit? It averages approx. 7 watts per gallon.

I have a similar tank, a jbj12. I took the top off and am using a Viper 150w MH. Taking the top off defeats the purpose of the AIO systems, but, to each his own. My evaporation levels haven't changed significantly from having stock lighting with the hood to the Viper either.
