What makes 2 fish a Bonded Pair?

My tank is turning in to Noah's ark. I have 2 cinnamon Clowns (unsure of sex) that share a LTA but constantly seem to bicker over the center of the LTA (never seen any visible damage). I have a male and female Banggai cardinals that float along together peacefully all over the tank. Lastly I have 2 Heniochus D. Butterflys that swim peacefully around but do not appear to be a couple.

How can I tell if any of my pairs are "Bonded"? It is not like they have visible wedding bands.

Thanks all for the help.

LOL.
it can be different for different fish.
The Clown fish are prob two non sexual males if they are picking at each other. If one is more dominate. That is the Female and she is still testing him so to speak. If you see them shaking next to each other they both or one of them could be a sexual male .Trying to determine who is going to be boss and change gender . NOW if one of them seems more dominate and the other gets under or next to the dominate a parent fish . This is a male who is trying to get her to accept her.
I am not so sure about the other fish you mention but there are prob people who do. Welcome to the wonderful word of Clown fish

I am sure others can explain this better with less words then me and maybe even correct any mistakes in my explanation ..

The cinnamon's are a little over 2 inches long with one "Big Bertha" being larger and more dominant than other which we have named Scout as he seems more comfortable leaving the LTA. Bertha's favorite move is to slap Scout with her dorsal fin. She was especially obnoxious to Scout last night head butting him out of the LTA. I was about to call it domestic violence before they settled down.

:headwally: Typical married couple to me. :headwally:

The clowns sound like a bonded pair w/ the larger being the female.
If they begin spawning then they would be called a mated pair.
A bonded pair of clowns means they have worked out who is the dominant female and she has accepted the male.
Badgering can be expected, if she did not accept the male it would be nowhere near her, hiding in rocks, stuck at surface, or dead.
