wow yes, i realized i was doing that a while back, and now WAY too many nutrients are in this darn tank!! i guess thats why my sps is not thr greatest color...
I put it in a shady spot about a year ago. Nothing happened. Sometimes the lights would flicker, so to speak, but never come on all the way. I even tried gouging them out altogether, figuring maybe they would grow back with normal color. They did grow back and with SOME color, but it would always fade out.
Finally because of some SPS issues, I increased my fish load and started feeding the tank with Rods food. Lo and behold, the SPS started looking better, AND this favia began to improve. It's still not 100% but it's getting better - and finally starting to grow, too.
