What Munches on Gorgonians

I have a small gorgonians that came on a live rock that has been growing quite well. Today I came home from work to see a section of it appears to have been eaten ( see photo). What would predate on them? Suspects are blue legged hermit (have seen them occasionally crawl on it but not eat anything), rock urchin (hitchhiker), trochus and nassarius snails and an unidentified worm living under the rock (can't get photo, super quick, kind of orange and looks like a millipede of sorts). Fish are ocellatis clowns and pajama cardinals, so not on my suspect list. Any help solving the mystery appreciated!

Have there been any changes in flow? It looks like it might be damaged from rubbing against the rock? Just a thought. I also have a lot of gorgonians and most of the time I see any damage its from getting knocked against rocks.

Good idea. Flow has changed but the area impacted isn't rubbing against anything I can see. This am another section is gone. It seems to happen too quick for rock damage. Want to save the little guy. Would a hermit eat a gorgonian? I'm sure they can annoy them. Still trying to photo my mystery worm. He makes me nervous.

Update: he is going through a major shed right now but polyps are out and he's regenerating the lost tissue. In absence of other suspects I removed the red leg hermits that were crawling on him. So far so good.
