Well I've had my 55 gallon reef setup for about 10 months now, and I need some advice on what to get next. I have new TEK T5 lights (216 watts), CSS 65 skimmer, small HOB fuge with chaeto, and 2 MAXIJET powerheads for a current. Here's my livestock so far:
Blue/Red mushrooms, green star polyps, toadstool, frogspawn, candy cane, xenia, starburst polyps, various snails, 2 O. clowns
I want something new in my tank (either fish or coral....maybe another LPS or SPS), but I can't decide on what. Any suggestions? (I'll post pics of the tank as soon as I finish my water change).

Are Monti's the plate corals?....also, I've seen many pods in my fuge/tank, but how will I know when I have enough for a mandarin? (because I really want to get a mandarin)
 
So many people have the same problem at the same time!

Why not take a trip to a new public aqaurium,sea life center, store etc for inspiration.
 
and sorry for posting this so many times.....my computer froze when I hit "submit" so I hit it a few more times since I though it hadn't worked....but when it finally loaded, it went through way too many times.....sorry everyone.
 
Wow, thats crazy, I counted 11 threads that say what now?

Anyways, no plates arent montis, I think he's talking about fungia plates which is an lps coral. It would be a good addition. I wouldnt get a mandarin unless you are for sure you have enough pods.
 
People suggest not until a full year or so.. or unless you get a mandarin the regularly accepts prepared food.
