what one is easier crocea or maxima?

I have better luck with Croceas key is providing the correct substrate/location and lighting for the correct clam.

I think it's kind a toss up depending where the clam is coming from. I've had good luck and bad luck with both. Right now the Croceas are good because they are from Vietnam and are they are pretty tough, but I've had Croceas from the Solomon Islands and they didn't last very long.

Alot of Croceas coming in from Vietnam right now have been covered in pyrmidal snails so be sure to QT. I just saw a few 1000 at a wholesaler and there were alot of snails:(

Unfortunately, these snails can come from alot of different countries that's why I make it a practice to take a toothbrush and scrub to shell of any clam before I place it in my system...

i have these im my tank but i have no clams. what are so bad about these snails? they just seen to stay on the glass and not do anthing wrong.

From what I understand, they are only around if there are clams around. They feed strictly on clams. They usually die off if there any clams around. You may have a different type of snail.
