What options do I have?

As many of you know, I had a bimac a while back. He didn't come out much, so I was a little disappointed. He died, and I went back to a reef tank.

Now I'm considering getting another octo. I have a 55 gallon tank.

I could sell my 55 gallon tank (to save space) and buy a 40 gallon acrylic tank. Then I could wire in some LED's for lights (to save cost and make it look cool). I could get rid of my sump, and have a hang on sump/protein skimmer. My LFS has these tanks for a few hundred $ (live rock included).

Is a vulgaris better (i.e. not as shy)? Could it be kept in a 55 or a 40 gallon tank?

What would you put in something like this to add some variety to my life?

August 2003 Playmate, six chimps, three bottles of finest scotch whiskey, a large sword, three pounds of live earthworms, eight llamas, a new Dodge Viper, a small light aircraft and obviously a deep sand bed!
