What order would you add these fish?

66 gallon fish only.

Currently just a small pair of Occelaris Clowns.

What order would you add these:
Royal gramma
Black Axil chomis
Blue reef chromis
Midas Blenny
Barnacle blenny
Firefish
Ignitus Anthias (or another anthias you think would be better)
Exquisite wrasse

I may not get all of them. Not sure about the anthias for example. But if I were to get one, I want to know if it should be one of the first fish in there.

Thanks!

I will let others reply to order.
Anthias will need to eat like three times a day. I have a ignitus and he only eats frozen food.
Chromis seem to fight with each other and sometimes other fish I would pass on them.
Note: The Gold Assessor Basslet and Zebra Barred Dartfish go good with a firefish.

I'm on the fence about the blue reef chromis. I just want some blue color to replace the damsel I had to give back. Not many small blue fish besides damsels.

Bi color angel might be a good choice since you're looking for blue.

Considering a dwarf angel in that group , maybe pygmy cherub, coral beauty, or potters. I know any angel would be the last fish added and only when the tank is mature enough for a grazer.

I mentioned bi color simply because you wanted blue and they don't get too big.

You are very right, that one, along with the 3 I mentioned all have blue. But I'm more concerned with what order to add the rest of the fish. Since I know any angel would definitely be last.

Agreed!

I have been searching for the angel I want to add to my 30 gal when the time is right and I came across the Cherub Angel. It seems to be the most reef safe of the small angels. I'm seriously considering getting one.

Barnacle blenny
Firefish
Ignitus anthias
Royal gramma
Exquisite wrasse
Black axil chromis
Midas blenny

I have found black axil do better than the regular blue/green chromis, though if you are looking for a blue peaceful fish the blue gudgeon is a small, peaceful, social, fish that can be shy but is much more outgoing in groups.

By the way flame angel is my favorite as well. And I agree with the chromic, they just aren't that cool and can be aggressive, especially if you keep more than one they'll just kill each other. If I were you I'd add:
Firefish+Blenny sametime
Royal Gramma
chromic if you must have them
Wrasse
Anthias

I've been looking into the Gudgeon. But a lot of people have said that they are really shy and almost never come out. Do you have experience with them?

I currently have one, but plan on getting more. He is always out, but I have other dartfish that are always out too. I have seen some that are very shy, but they are more outgoing with conspecifics and congenerics.

Do you think my one firefish would act as a buddy for him, or would it be better to definitely get at least 2 gudgeons? Also, what type of blue are they? Pictures on the internet show them as every shade of blue imaginable.

I dont think the one firefish would be enough to draw him out, and 2 other gudggeons would be the absolute minimum I would consider, but preferably more.

The color of blue gudgeons is highly variable after shipping, but usually returns to one of two blues, a very bright blue, almost the color of a 460nm actinic t5 bulb, or a lighter blue. There are also 2 tail colors, one mostly black, the other yellow and black.

My tank is too small to devote 3 or more slots to one type of fish and maybe not even see them that much. My goal is to have a much variety (shape and color) as possible and also as peaceful as possible. It is proving to be quite a difficult endeavor. I think my plan will be this:

Get the firefish and gramma next, since my LFS always has plenty of these and I can choose the best looking one, make sure it's eating, etc.

Then the barnacle blennies, probably 2 or 3 since they are so tiny. Likely from LA. And get them a barnacle home.

Maybe in this slot, an anthias. But I'm leaning towards skipping anthias. They seem to be tough to care for, but we'll see.

Then either the midas blenny or black axil chromis. And the other one afterwards.

And finally the wrasse.

At that point I will reassess and see if I think another fish or two would work. I have to leave room for all these fish to grow, especially the clowns and chromis. And then maybe I will add a second chromis, or a dwarf angel, or maybe, just maybe, but probably not, a kole tang.

Regarding the chromis, I absolutely have to have the blue green or black axil. I think it's color is awesome and have wanted one for many years, long before I knew I'd ever have a tank. Most accounts I've read are that it is only aggressive towards it's own kind, so hopefully having only one will keep him peaceful.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm sure I'll be back when I change my mind 17 more times.
