What other fish should I put in my 60 gallon? Help me decide..

I have a 60 gallon tank, 4' long. I only have a clownfish right now. I plan on getting a yellow tang, and a flame angel. Besides those two, what fish should I get? I prefer bigger fish but I, for the most part, don't want to have to take them out and get rid of them eventually.

Thanks

I'd say no to the tang - but that's a personal preference since they are ich magnets and can be really aggressive. If you do get one, add it last.

A Midas Blenny is one of the next ones on my list. I've had lots of recommendations to get one as I'm told they very active swimmers, and they get fairly large.

This is a FOWLR tank. And, I quarantine all my fish for 4 weeks with cupramine, so ich isn't too big of a worry for me.

I like chromis. Small , but you can get multiple and they school nicely. I am a big fan of gobies and cardinals as well.

Since I've gotten mine I believe that a tank isn't complete without a Golden Midas Blenny. This is one awesome fish!

If you want a tang I would suggest something on the smaller side, not a yellow which may also then be more aggressive towards its tank mates. There are some beautiful wrasses, A midas blenny is cool. Another fish that I have is a flame hawkfish which are fun to watch and have great personality. Many possibilities. A good place to research is live aquaria which also will have suggested tank sizes for the fish.

Agree with others here: 60 is not big enough for a YT. I kept one in my 90 for six months before moving it to a 300. The difference in fish behavior and coloring is shocking. Even the 90 was just too small to meet the needs of a YT.
I also agree with the wrasse suggestion. You look at pictures and think, "Yeah, whatever," and then you get one and the next thing you know you understand why lots of us think they are such great additions. Very interactive and active fish with lots of color choices.

With wrasses I have found that the best time to buy them is summer when more of the more amazing looking ones are more available. Check out a diamond tail flasher wrasse -stunning. Terminal rhomboid as well are amazing. Lineatus, pintail, etc, etc. these are more $ but just stunning fish.
Happy hunting
