what part of the tank to put them in?

Can anyone tell me what sort of zoas do better in high/lower light? I've read that it is a colour of the polpy thing, but other than a couple of posts saying to place whichever polyp higher or lower I can't find much else. . .

I was particularly wondering since I have a frag of a purple zoa that is stunning in that tank on the way, and was wondering where in my tank to place them. I've got most of my zoas on a branch and a low bit of rock in the tank as of now. Do the purple kind like higher or lower light? It's a 20 gal. tank with 65 watts 50/50 pcs. Also, I've been putting out a half-[rear ended] search for a second lighting fixture of the same specs. If I got that, and the polyps are high, should they be lowered? Thanks :)

I have learned that most corals that are not a brownish color will require brighter light. There are a few websites that sell zoos and they keep them under 400watt metal halides atleast.
I have orange zoos and green Eagle eyes, and I place them middle to top of my 125 under 250 watt metal halides.
Your best bet may be to experiment to capture the nicest color and ensure the success of your zoos.
