What return pump to buy?

I am setting up a 46g bow and I don't know what return pump to buy. I would like it to be a submersible pump and was thinking a cheap mag drive 5, but im not sold on that yet. All suggestions are welcome!!!

I've recently picked up a Sicce Syncra and have been very pleased.

If you're looking for quiet then look at the DC pumps. Sicce Syncras are good pumps (have the syncra 4) but I'm currently running the waveline DC 3000. The DC's are controllable and quiet.

I agree on the DC pumps.
I my self run a RO water blaster they have smaller ones like the nice pump really quite also.
Personally I would stay away from Mag pumps used them and was not happy in the long run.
Shafts snapping and noise where the two major cons I've had,
Try to get better stuff Because in the long run u will end up spending more for something cheep that broke or making more noise than u like.
I learned that the hard way after replacing returns.

Mag5 was my plan for my return but the noisey little bugger is now way out there pushing water to the waterfall in my pond. Can't miss with Eheim pumps.

sicce syncra 2.0 is good for you. get a 3.0 if you plan to hook up multiple reactors on it as well.

Alright, well I really like the sound of the sicce syncra. The 2.0 would be ideal?

are you planning to have carbon or GFO reactor? If so, I'd bump it up to a 3.0 and plumb a split, one for return and the other for another split to the reactors.

I don't plan on using a gfo/carbon reactor. So without then would a 2.0 work or would u still recommend a 3.0
