What RO/DI system do you use?

spectrapure, the filter guys, removed for violation of our commercial policies are three off the top of my head that you cant go wrong with. All use quality components and all have excellent customer service

personaly i use spectrapure, and I guess my third recommendation wasnt allowed :)

Got mine from a really popular online auction site. Oh darn it.... I forget the name.... geez what was that site.....

I sometimes drink an I cold removed for violation or our commercial policies on really hot days and when I want to quench my thirst...
And a nice removed for violation or our commercial policies candy bar makes a good snack to go along with my removed for violation or our commercial policies...

LOL! I better quit before I get in trouble....

Any body use or have the one Melev sells?

I guess I can't get suggestions for RO/DI systems that are not RC Sponsors?!?

Thats helpful....

COUGH 1984 COUGH

I use the typhoon III model... I cant tell you where its from though  . It is a nice five stage unit. Google it to find the website.

Absolutely nothing on the market compares to a Spectrapure MaxCap RO/DI system, guaranteed. You may pay a little more initially but it will save you from then on and more than return your investment difference in less than 2 years compared to other units. Mine is 11 months old and has saved me over 8 DI cartridges already compared to my old name brand unit. 8 cartridges at retail is a chunk of change and even at bulk refill prices is nothing to sneeze at.

Honestly there are only so many manufacturers of membranes and other other filters that go in a 5 stage. For the same price as a Spectrapure Maxcap you can get a similar unit with a Filmtec membrane with the same filters that will cost you about half as much. In one year I've replaced my DI resin in my "cheap" system (which I can't mention) once and the first time I did it was a bit premature. This is for a 140ish system that loses about 3 gallons a day and gets regular water chances of 15-20%. I also don't have my system fully automated and I've been known to flood the basement on ocassion with RO/DI water ;)

The Spectrapures are nice, but you're paying in large part for an established name in the hobby.

You could not be more wrong. You are paying for a 100% hand tested and guaranteed 98+ % RO membrane and proprietary DI cartridges like the MaxCap and SilicaBuster which no one else offers. These are proven to be superior over and over in lab tests. Every other RO vendor in the business combined do not do anywhere near the bench and beta testing of components that Spectrapure does. All that testing pays off in the performance and longevity of their systems. I am not conected to them in any way but unless you have tried one of their units you have no idea what they are capable of. There is no "similar unit" offered by anyone anywhere.
