what should be left after a silverside?

i am feeding my rbta silversides and I am wondering what should be left after it spits it out. it digested the food for about 5-6 hours and and it expelled the skeleton with 1/2 the meat still on.

I had the SAME THING happen. Iwas told to feed it every day for one week, she was a bit bleached, and she just spit everything out. I am not feeding her again for a couple of days.

Mine spits out tiny bones in a dark brown blob. Looks like it digests it all (no flesh left) and spits it out after about a day.

Are you feeding ocean nutrition silversides or san fransico bay brand silversides?
Is there a big difference between the two?

Mine never would keep them down, I started using prime reef, maybe it's too big of a piece?

It is much easier for anemones, and putts less stress on them, if you are to cut the silverside up into pieces, and then feeding it to it. I have a 6" RBTA, and I feed 2" silversides in 3/4-1" pieces.

Either you are feeding it too often, or giving it too big of a piece to digest.
My RBTA gets one-third to one-half a silverside every five days. It digests it for about 24 hours, then spits out a small section of skin and bones, but not much left though. Percentage wise it would be about 20% left of what it was originally fed.

BTW, using SanFrancisco Bay brand.

Yeah, there is a difference..SFBay brand is more like a fish.. I don't know what Ocean Nutrition uses for fish but its stiff even after you defrost it. When you defrost SFBayBrand its as limp as a dead fish should be. Just makes me think its a better silverside.

Every time I would feed my anemones Ocean Nutrition silversides they would eat it but then spit it out later not being fully digested.

With SFBay brand my LTA eats a whole silverside once a week and never spits it out later.

I use San Francisco bay brand silversides.
