What size hole for the plug on a durso?

What size of a hole should I drill on the top plug of a durso standpipe so that an air tube will fit really well? I'm planning to drill that with one of those small airtube valves at the end to control the air intake.

Any ideas? I can eyeball it, but if I mess up, I'll have to go back to ace hardware =( ... again =(

If you have any epoxy putty laying around you can fill any gaps that you happen to over drill. Superglue gel will even work.

In other words, I don't know. :D A measuring device would tell you ...

The size hole will depend on what size air tubing you're going to use. Check the OD on the tube.

You could also use a tap bit and screw a john guest fitting (or JG valve) on the Durso.
