I have a 46 gallon reef tank in which I am removing the wet/dry sump because of the divider in the middle limits the room in it. I have a bow front tank and stand so the widest the sump can be is 11". Would a 10 gallon tank with a piece of plexiglass as a divider work as a good sump in which i can place live rock and sand.
What size sump?

me too. I was thinking of a megaflow 2, with a coralife or ASM skimmer. I think you can put macro algae in a megaflow with some custom work. I would like to know recommendations as well. I am going to get a life reed overflow for sure. I don't think that a MF 2 will work for your cabinet, maybe the 1. Everyone is going to tell you to DIY your sump. But I am a noob and would rather go buy something and not make any human spec errors. Good Luck

I would say you should try to go with a larger tank. The bigger sump you go with the better. It will increase your total volume which will make your params more stable and you wont be kicking yourself in a few months. My brother had a 10 below his 46 bow it was just way too small. The water ran like a river and he tried to put sand in it and it blew everywhere. He was able to fit a 29 gal in going in the opposite direction of the tank. I am pretty sure a 20 H has the same footprint as a 10 just taller. Hope this helps.
