Depends on how much space you have. The bigger the sump...the more water volume you have....easier to keep perimeters stable.....more room for all your equipment.
It also depends on the sumps use--is it just to house a skimmer pump or are you going to section it off and make it into a refugium,
Longer is better then higher if it is for multiple purposes
Thats not alot of space but its better than nothing...You can custom make a sump to fit even if you have to use a small rubbermaid container or trash can.
I'm going to see about possible cutting out the divider between the two sides of the stand that will give me enough space for the 15 gallon long I've got. Think a 15 gallon 'll work?
