What skimmer is everyone liking these days?

I used to run an octopus 300 if memory serves. Im looking at the octopus elite for my 150 cube. Not trying to break the bank but I want a decent skimmer.

Yeah I've been looking on there. I see mixed opinions on the eshopps. There are a few on there though.

I bought the S-120 from Saltwater Island (at their original location) new for $150, that should tell you how long I’ve had it. Try finding a new skimmer rated at 120 gallons for that price today. And Saltwater Island went out of business a long time ago.

Oh, the eShopps isn’t flawless. Every once in a while it does go beserk.

Oh yeah I of course find the most exspensive without even trying. The one I really want is $800 lol. Back in the day I would have spent without thinking. 2 kids can change that outlook lol. I appreciate the input.

lol, I understand the kids thing. Mine are all grown and pretty much self-reliant now.

There’s a local (Fairview Heights) who posted a Reef Octopus NW-150 for sale for $150 on FB. Reef Octopus have a great reputation and, IMO, that’s a fantastic price.
