Ken also has written a couple of nice apps for Windows Mobile 6. I know they won't work on Win7 Mobile, but with enough requests, he might update / rewrite them for Win7 phones.

What does Ken's site/app do that connecting via browser doesn't?

Like most mobile software, it's tailored for the tiny real estate of a smart phone. Sure you could connect to your controller directly but you'd be constantly scrolling side to side to operate it. Try both and make your own decision.
