What store in the area has the most fish and the healthy fish right now?

Aquatic Collection

Aquatic Collection

When I was at Aquatic Collection last Thursday (my first time there) I didn't see even a single fish with trophonts (ICH) on them (not saying they don't have it hidden in them). Yes, if you buy fish from Aquatics Collection, then they will survive your copper ot TTM treatment and they were in that great healthy condition. I bought a number of fish there last thursday. At least AQUATIC COLLECTION have a game plan, and they have nailed it. I think they are running HYPO combined with UV which does the trick, i.e., it reduces the ich bloom and the holes on the fish's body. HYPO probably prevents the encystment after the trophonts fall off and the UV keeps killing whatever theronts pass through it and seems to work hand in hand. Also, they might flush the system once in a while with fresh water to subdue the saltwater pathogens in general.

Saw a powder brown tang at Aquatic Collection and it looked super clean, Healthy and beautiful and that's how it should be sold, and saw a powder brown tang somewhere else (won't say the name of the place) and this one had a white powder all over it (completely iched up). I guess some white powder for the brown powder I guess? haha

lol, good job burning bridges!

What do want me to do man? just accept some BS and move on? I did not open that can of worm. I stopped and left, but then there was this mockery/justification. Just be nice all the time just because one has to? If one doesn't agree one should openly say it, and that's why we have forums.

My apologies in advance to all for dragging this out but this is a pet peeve of mine.

I'm all for open discussion on forums. Feel free to discuss your views. You asked me for a breakdown and I've given it to you. You then dismissed it but when pressed for your own breakdown you brushed it off.

When someone is behind a keyboard, they feel untouchable, detached and feel that they can say anything. Unfortunately, that is not true. What you type carries the same weight as saying it in person.

Would you walk into Neptune and say that to Robert's face? If you wouldn't, then you shouldn't put it on a forum.

I don't know you personally and I don't think I have ever met you so I don't know how you are in person. Many people behave differently online and in person. I find most are pretty nice in person but can get nasty online. But your online persona carries over into everyday life, especially to people that you've interacted with online that you may or may not meet in person someday.

My personal rule of thumb, if I cannot or will not say it in person, I will not put it online.

So go ahead and insult people online all you want. Burnt bridges crumple and collapse just when you need to cross it.

Not hiding behind keyboard or just feeling like saying anything man. Like you mentioned, I do understand that this is a small community and people interact with one another very frequently. I think Robert knows me and I know him and some of the reefcentral people know me and I know some, so not hiding and saying or anything. Once when you say something then its out, what you think is out and no going back. There is some value to speaking your mind as well rather than thinking one thing and saying another. Not my intention to burn bridges, Seriously. It just happened that way.

my appologies

my appologies

Sorry for dragging this even more but I have to speak my mind so that there is no miss understanding. I think I went too far, and my apologies. I only talked about the negatives which weigh far less than the positives when it comes to Neptunes. I truly don't view Neptune aquatics as a purely business organization but a real awesome contribution to reefers. we all go for 9 to 5 jobs, work as engineers and doctors and what not and our commitment is somewhat limited. But to do a business and excel in keeping corals at the quality as Neptunes is an achievement. It is a truly a miracle. It is not a common business (if it was then everyone would do it), and it is truly niche as we all know that no one else is able to do that other than Neptunes (the price point and quality of corals) and I do recognize, and appreciate that. It took one man to do this shows the vision in him.
Hope Robert doesn't take my critiquing to his heart, and I was truly not insulting. Just said what I saw.
Striving towards excellence is the goal here and I hope feedbacks are taken mildly and positively. Once gain, If I offended anyone one then please forgive me and move on.
Good night and peace.

I have no idea? I just asked a simple question. I did go AC and picked up 3 very nice, healthy and eating fish, they are in QT so we will see what happens, hopefully all goes well, so far so good.

i was looking at their regals angels there. thinking of getting one after my current quarantine batch finishes.

No apologies is needed on my end, bud. Thank You, for your humbleness though. I know how it is when you become passionate about something. I did the same thing so it's natural that we clashed.

As both a business owner and hobbyist myself, everyday I try hard to do what's right for the shop. But, most importantly, what's right for the hobbyist and for the animals we care for. To that end, there is a lot of things I wanted to do differently but as a human being, I do have my limitations so things don't always happen overnight.

Anyway....cheers and happy reefing. It's all water under the bridge.
