What T5 bulb to bring out Florescence in Acan

Currently running a 36". 1x 10k daylight, 1x purple coralife, 2x blue coralife,

I am thinking of going all ATI. My brand new acan was extremely bright (orange/teal) under the LFS lighting. I think it was blue/actinic lighting.

Would I go better with blue plus or actinic? I really want that pop. Thank you.

For a 4 bulb combo I'd stick to something like

3 blue+ and 1 coral+

Or

2 blue+ , 1 coral+, and 1 purple+

Or

2 blue+ and 2 coral+ (whiter look)

You could try an actinic in the mix but depending what other corals you have you might not be getting enough light.

Thanks for your reply. I do like the whiter look, but I really want to maximize the pop of the fluorescence. The LED's at the shop made the coral look extraordinary. What is it exactly that makes it pop? I was under the impression its the more "actinic" you have. But the Blue plus says it makes it pop too.

2 blue plus, 1 actinic and 1 coral plus. Grab a purple plus as well to play with.

Just know, you won't get that crazy pop that blue LEDs can give. The blue plus and actinic bulbs are the closest you're going to get

+1 I'm using Blue Plus, Coral Plus, and Purple plus, get great color and some fluorescence with that but it's when the LEDs turn on that they POP. Even some cheaper strips will make them glow

Does anyone have any experience with the E5 bulbs? I believe they have a "Blue Pop" I am wondering if anyone has seen a florescence comparison.

The E5 Blue Pop bulbs are similar to a Blue+ and unless you're only running them, I don't think they add much pop. I replaced my one Blue Pop (due to it not dimming) with an ATI Actinic and I think the fixture has the same if not more "pop". I would say the Actinic definitely has more pop than a Blue+, but a Blue+ is said to be better for growing corals. In my fixture I run 4 Blue+, 2 Coral+, 1 Purple+ and 1 Actinic. I feel it's as close to a natural color as I can get, not too white, not too blue. If I only had 4 bulbs, I would probably not run Actinic and would stick with just Blue+ and Coral+ for better coral growth.
