What tank would you recommend for me?

Hello all, Im thinking about starting a nano tank over the winter. I have had a 75 gallon reef for 4 years now and,I am looking forward to setting up a nano. What would be a good starting tank? I can get a 8 gallon biocube from a fellow reefer for $50 all it needs is a pump. Or should i start with something different? Any help would be great.

Can't go wrong for $50! However I am no longer a fan of aio tanks. I love having a sump that I can conveniently access.

I am upgrading from an 8gallon Biocube, but not because it is a bad tank (i just wanted bigger :) )

Its a great size and for $50 i'd go for it.
only thing i found was that it gets warm so i had to keep a fan on it.

That's a great deal. My only advice is don't settle for the 8 gal if it's not what you really want, simply because it's a good deal.

I have a 29g red sea max and really like it. It is a sturdy tank with room to aquascape. This may be larger than you are looking for. I have to BTA that love the lighting.

I was inspired by this tank. Bare bones. I am going to try and build one this winter $$ pending.

Also, I love the simplicity of my JBJ 12 gallon nanocube. Add LEDs and upgrade the fans and heat is less of an issue. Still helps to prop the hood open.

If I had unlimited skill and time and money, I would build or have built for me a custom nano. Longer, wider, more shallow. It would have an overflow into a sump. Dreams...

I have a mr aqua 25 cube with a small sump, But for $50 bucks id go with the biocube. older AIO Solanas are always a good build too. My next nano project will be a Mr Aqua 12 gallon long though :)
