Just wondering because im running mine without a heater and its about 72-75 F and coral growth is like meh right now. Wondering if I should get a heater and raise it to about 76-80 F. Any thoughts?

77-78 has always been my ideal temp range when things were all growing and looking really nice, but it's more like 79-80.

The temps you are running at are really great for fish though, lol. Keeps the ich away!

78-82. Growth is good. Its a nano, so the cards are stacked against me, but still things grow in my little POS!

78. My thought is that a higher temp results in faster metabolism, resulting in faster growth. To a point, of course, and assuming all other factors are within normal limits. In my freshwater days, I'd keep my temp toward the top of the range, for faster cichlid growth. This also results in more waste products, and a higher bioload with the same organisms.

Cool need to up the temp. Any heater recommendations? Yeah the coral growth has been really slow on my zoas/palys like 1 GOW becoming like 8-9 polyps in 7-8 months. Sps is like meh, maybe 1 mm of growth and encrusting over a week.

74 - 78 .. temp really has not shown growth..
now when i feed my tank ( corals ) twice a week that has shown alot of growth ( Ric's, Zoo's, SPS )

77-80. everything in my tank will just about double in size every 3-4months. (also dose with C-Balance daily which is a 2 part calcium and alk)
