What temperature is considered too hot for corals?

We are going to have a hot day in Sydney tomorrow and this is the first summer I have a reef tank and I havent got a chiller yet. Up to what temperature is considered to be dangerous for corals? Mine is predominately a LPS tank and mushrooms.

86 is about right. Seen some cinnamon palys I had survive 90+ when I left my LR in the car one day. If you have a heat wave coming set up some fans to blow across the top of your tank and sump, and consider putting frozen bottles of ice in the sump to bring the temp down.

Get a fan and turn it on your tank water surface. That's good for as much as a 10 degree fall in temperature. You can also run your lights at night rather than day, and shorten your photoperiod by 2 hours.
