What the heck is this? Please ID

I noticed this on my live rock the other day. It was very hard to get a picture of but here is some any way. It sucks up into a ball when touched.

should i leave it be? thanks for the info by the way. Looked it up on the net and it says they give off toxic heavy metals for defense? thats probably just in the wild right? It wouldn't have absorbed any from my tank to give off right?

I agree w/ BS, your little tunicate shouldn't cause a problem in your tank. Personally, I love finding such hitchhikers. I had one for about a year in my 24 gallon Aquapod, but never saw it again after a re-aquascaping.

yes it was kind of refreshing to see a hitchhiker other than the dreaded aiptasia...LOL
