What The Heck Is This?

My brother started his first reef tank just over a month ago with some LR and LS. He just sent over a pic to me of something that just popped up in his tank. Any ideas? I haven't heard back from him about how large it may be.

OK, he says it's about the size of his fingernail.

I'm very curious myself, but at an angle it looks like some type of starfish or a nudibranch.

Was it crawling on the gass? Does it swim?

Nudibranch would be my guess...kind of a wierd angle photo.
