What the hell is this?

What is this thing? Some sort of snail with this like flat whitish shell. It was out grazing on a rock, I was able to snap a couple of pictures and then it disappeared back into a hole in the rock.

Stomella varia or a related species. Part of your free algae eating CUC. Cleaner shrimp love to eat them though.

Stomatella are great. I had a ton of them until my hawkfish decided they were delicious :worried:

It's so strange that this is appearing now... While this tank is new within the past 4 months it was seeded with rock out of my old tank that was up for 4 years. It's always crazy how many new things can just appear out of almost nowhere.
