What to do with crab?

Hey all,

I found 2 crabs on my liverock. I have one trapped, but I feel bad for keeping him in a glass for a whole day. I don't have a sump to put him in, and I don't want to kill him... so what should I do? Would any fish stores take him?

Please advise!

Usually my LFS will take a crab for their sump or to sell if someone may buy it.

I went to Pet Club in elk grove and they took my little grey crab and put it in their sump. Yay! So... I bought a diamond watchman goby as a token of my gratitude (My first fish, btw)

Here he is:

funman1: I only have a crappy picture of the other crab who is still in my tank. I took this before I knew how to use my digital camera correctly. The crab is actually really pretty... a good shade of reddish orange. He hasn't caused any trouble yet, but I don't want to risk it.

I let him go back in my tank after I caught him... but now I regret it. I'm going to try to capture him again, and when I do I'll post a better pic. He's all yours if you want him.

the fish is commonly called the 'pink spotted shrimp goby' (Cryptocentrus leptocephalus). i've seen them listed as all different kinds of things here in the sacto area but only one thing is important-- they're great fish.

i've got one that i've had for about a year and a half that is such a model citizen.
