What to do with Ricordia Florida that gets no light?

I had some ricordia florida on a long thin rock. One split and the smaller piece somehow ended up on the underside of the rock. It gets zero light and looks like it isn't doing so great. The rock itself is very hard and thin so I can't cut into it and "scoop out" that polyp.

What can I do here?

I was thinking about just slicing as close to the base as possible and hoping it would reatach somewhere, but am worried about that procedure.

Thoughts? suggestions?

you can scrape them off, or they will fall off on thier own then you can place them where you want them

My very first mushrooms were two orange discoma that were on a thin piece of rock. When I bought it and got it home I thought somehow one of them had totally dissapeared. Turned out one was attached on the top and one was attached on the bottom. The bottom one would just stretch out till it got around the edge of the rock and then opened just as if it were on top. They did fine like that for a long time until I decided to frag them.
