What to do?

I have a purple firefish, geometric hawk, assortment of snails and crabs in a 20 gal QT. Ph 8.3, sal. 1.023, 0 ammonia and nitrites, 10 nitrates (API test kit). I had a royal gramma for 3 weeks in the QT as well but I hadn't seen it since I fed Saturday night. With today being a shorter work day I was looking around and just happened to find it, unfortanetly dead :(. Hermits had gotten to a little at some point and if I had to guess I would say it died late Saturday night /early Sunday morning.

I'm a bit stumped as it ate well and never showed any signs, was often visible. The hawk and firefish are doing well and show no signs of any visible ailment either. I just know by other threads on here, if 1 has something then all have something.

What to do?

Right now I'm in the waiting mode, I'm puzzled as to what happened still. Both fire and hawk ate like hungry lil hippos again tonight, no noticeable change on either.

Should I wait this out? Does this sound like an internal parasite?

Just glad I decided to quarantine.....

are you sure the hawk fish was not harassing it . Maybe the two fighting. They are both kinda territorial. and semi aggressive .my Gramma is super shy and timid thou.

Also sometimes fish just die for unapparent reasons.. Its sad but not much we can really do...

Hoping it was for no reason. The hawk was smaller than the gramma, no aggression at feeding time either, have been feeding mysis, everyone has their own place to. Thursday will be an anxious day as it will be 3 weeks for the hawk and fire.
