What to Feed a Powder Blue Tang

I bought a powder blue tang about a month ago and he is the pickiest fish when it comes to eating I ever had. He is about 4 in and seemed to be very healthy when I got him. Can someone give me some good ideas as to what a powder blue tang would like to eat. Apparently he seems to be living on some macro algae that had started to grow back in the tank when I moved my other tang out but it is running out quick and he is starting to get a little skinny. I have tried all the formula flakes and frozed, sea veggies, seaweed selects, misc pellet foods, frozen brine, etc. but he just tastes it and spits it out. I figured he would have adapted by now, I have a hippo tang in another tank and he will eat just about anything!
Thanks for the help.

you can try soaking nori in garlic, or entice. also try the different types of seaweed selects (reds, greens, browns) - you never know.

i even saw somewhere where people would blanch lettuce or even broccoli sprouts, but i personally have never done that.

i've heard of people culturing micro algaes in saltwater by placing acrylic squares in the water, and placing in the sun. then feed with the squares. again, never did that either...

good luck

Hippos are planktivores, not grazers, which makes them much easier to adjust.
